Elevate your life: Create the morning routine to achieve your goals.

After many years of working in the homes of very successful individuals we have created a morning routine that works so well it will change your life forever. If you find yourself struggling to find the car keys or running out of the door with a piece of toast in your mouth you are sabotaging your chances of success.

1: Follow a routine:

Everything that works on routine, works better. Why? We make our routines and then our routines make us.

The small steps we take towards staying in control and keeping healthy in body and mind will look after us long after the pain of incorporating them into your life has ended.

Every moment is precious. As successful professionals, entrepreneurs, and busy, working parents, your days are filled with important decisions and strategic moves. However, the key to a successful day often lies in the way it begins. A well-crafted morning routine can set the tone for a day of productivity, focus, and balance. In this blog post, we'll explore the components of the perfect morning routine.

2. Wake Up Early:

The proverbial saying, "the early bird catches the worm," holds true for high achievers. Waking up early before the rest of the household provides a head start to the day, allowing you to plan, reflect, and set intentions.

Aim for a consistent wake-up time, optimizing your circadian rhythm for improved focus and energy levels throughout the day.

Start off by setting your alarm clock for half an hour earlier than usual, resist the temptation to hit the snooze button and incrementally increase. You will soon find waking up an hour earlier the best decision you ever made.

3. Make your bed:

Making your bed creates a wide-open space in the bedroom for your thoughts to clarify, a place to lay out your clothes and prepare for the day and a calming environment to come back to in the evening and breathe freely. This act of tidiness and order may be your first achievement of the day.

Celebrate!!

4. Exercise:

Whether it's a brisk walk, a gym session, or a yoga practice, physical activity enhances cognitive function, promotes longevity, and instills a sense of discipline. You understand the importance of exercise and doing it first thing in the morning is another task ticked off for the day.

5. Breakfast:

Hydrate and nourish your body. Plan your breakfast the night before. The fewer things you have to think about in the morning, the more successful it will be. This doesn’t mean reaching for the quick sugary hit for your first meal of the day, but could be a protein-packed smoothie, a bowl of oats with nuts and berries, or a hearty omelette with spinach.

6. Mindful Morning Meditation:

In the pursuit of success, it's easy to overlook the importance of mental well-being. Incorporating mindfulness meditation or prayer into your morning routine can have profound effects on your mental clarity and stress management. Take a few minutes to sit in a quiet space, focus on your breath, and clear your mind. Think back to a time when you were happy and felt valued to enhance your mood. This practice can enhance your ability to make sound decisions and navigate challenges with a calm, positive demeanour.

7. Reset your home and look after your future self:

At Boutique Housekeeping we can’t overstate the importance of looking after your future self. It’s still you after all.

In the hustle and bustle of the morning it’s easy to forget the importance of maintaining order. Take a few moments to empty the dishwasher, plump up the sofa, tidy round, a quick hoover and put a load of washing in. Your evening self will thank you for it.

Start with one task a day and walk out the door feeling like the King or Queen of your kingdom!

8. Plan your day:

Plan your meals, your lunch and dinner, this will help you make healthy choices and pick up any missing ingredients during the day.

Set realistic goals and objectives of what you would like to achieve that day. Aim only for two or three, this will help you prioritise the most important and stop the feeling of overwhelm. Plan these into time slots in the day and allow extra time for inevitable challenges that pop up during the day.

9. Reflect and adjust:

Things won’t go smoothly every day and it will be easy to drop back into your old routine. Far easier to navigate the well-worn bumps we know than to create discomfort forging a new routine. So why bother? Are you really happy with the way your mornings are going right now? Make a test that will last 30 days. Record your achievements. What feels too hard can be adjusted. If you give it a try it will change your life forever.
